Established in 2013 Tom and Toto is a vibrant, national award-winning pet care company that is at the fore front of a fast growing industry. We support the Norwich dog owners journey with a range of services and products to make their lives easier and their dog’s more fun! Our luxury Doggy Day Care centre caters for 33 dogs per day in our farm house, log cabin and extensive secure gardens at White House Farm in Sprowston. Our group walks have been running for a decade in Norwich’s finest green spaces. We provide a nurturing environment for dogs with our team of 19 trained professionals.

You will receive industry leading training in house following the Knowing Dogs programmes and are trained in Canine first aid by qualified instructor and business director Sarah Wright. This is a particularly exciting time to join us and become an integral part of our ever-growing, industry leading business. You will be welcomed into a supportive and friendly tight knit team who love working with dogs and providing the best care and support to our
customers.

Doggy Day-care Staff

  • Day-care staff have the responsibility of ensuring all dogs have the absolute best day! From nurturing and building confidence in young dogs to engaging the dogs in mentally stimulating games and activities you will work alongside our expert supervisors.
    More about our centre:
    We have created the best of both worlds for our
    dogs. The centre is split into three large indoor play and rest spaces and three extensive gardens. Dogs are groups according to size and play style.
    The dogs attend from 8am to 6pm and move
    throughout the many activities and play areas

Key Responsibilities

Supervising and providing mental and physical stimulation for the dogs, including playing with dogs and being attentive to their individual
needs.

  • Monitoring dog behaviour closely and disengaging unwanted
    behaviours
  • Positively reinforcing good behaviours
  • Washing and towelling dogs at the end of the day
  • Collecting and dropping off the dogs from their homes
  • Picking up dog faecesP
  • Cleaning and maintaining the indoor and outside areas
  • Cleaning the bathroom, office and kitchen
  • Taking photographs of the dogs to be sent to parents for their daily school Report

Ideal Candidate

Supervising and providing mental and physical stimulation for the dogs, including playing with dogs and being attentive to their individual
needs.

  • Has knowledge, experience and confidence caring for and handling many dogs
  • Is happy working outdoors, most of the day, in all weather
  • Prides themselves on great customer service
  • Is well presented, well-spoken and has confident communication skills
  • Can demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness
  • Has a current DBS check or is willing to attain one
  • Has flexibility with working hours/ days
  • Must be passionate about a career working with dogs and can demonstrate this
  • Must work well in a team and be able multi-task and work proactively
  • Has a full clean UK driving license

Dog walking staff

  • Dog walkers have the responsibility of ensuring all dogs have the absolute best day! From nurturing and building confidence in young dogs to engaging the dogs in mentally stimulating walks and adventures while keeping them all safe.
    More about our walks
    We walk 4/5 dogs together and they are
    grouped according to size and play style.
    Group walks are at 9am, 11am 1pm and 3pm
    Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engaging the dogs on walks to keep them safe and close while being attentive to their individual needs
  • Monitoring dog behaviour closely and disengaging unwanted
    behaviours
  • Positively reinforcing good behaviors and encouraging good on and encouraging good on and off lead walking skills
  • Washing and toweling dogs at the end of the walk
  • Collecting and dropping off the dogs from their homes using your own
    vehicle*
  • Picking up dog faeces
  • Cleaning and maintaining the indoor and outside areas
  • Cleaning the bathroom, office and kitchen
  • Taking photographs of the dogs to be sent to parents for their daily school Report
