Our Doggy Day Care centre caters for up t0 40 dogs per day in our farm house, log cabin and extensive secure gardens at White House Farm in Sprowston. Our dog grooming salon provides a calm and relaxing environment for dogs to be pampered. We provide a nurturing environment for dogs with our team of trained professionals.

Doggy Day-care Staff

  • Day-care staff have the responsibility of ensuring all dogs have the absolute best day! From nurturing and building confidence in young dogs to engaging the dogs in mentally stimulating games and activities you will work alongside our expert supervisors.
    More about our centre:
    We have created the best of both worlds for our
    dogs. The centre is split into three large indoor play and rest spaces and three extensive gardens. Dogs are groups according to size and play style.
    The dogs attend from 8am to 6pm and move
    throughout the many activities and play areas

Key Responsibilities

Supervising and providing mental and physical stimulation for the dogs, including playing with dogs and being attentive to their individual
needs.

  • Monitoring dog behaviour closely and disengaging unwanted
    behaviours
  • Positively reinforcing good behaviours
  • Washing and towelling dogs at the end of the day
  • Collecting and dropping off the dogs from their homes
  • Picking up dog faecesP
  • Cleaning and maintaining the indoor and outside areas
  • Cleaning the bathroom, office and kitchen
  • Taking photographs of the dogs to be sent to parents for their daily school Report

Ideal Candidate

Dog Grooming Role

Our dog groomers have the responsibility to care for each dog to the highest standard and provide them with and their owners with outstanding care. You should be passionate about being creative in your role and ensuring the dog’s welfare at all times. From nurturing young dogs and building confidence in each we provide a relaxing and calm grooming environment for you both to enjoy. The salon opened its doors in March 2024 and is kitted out with brand new top of the range equipment for its groomers with two grooming tables and hydrobath.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide grooming services to dogs of all shapes and sizes
  • Perform bathing, brushing, and hair trimming according to client preferences and breed standards
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process
  • Handle pets as necessary to complete grooming tasks
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grooming area
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming requests and provide recommendations based on breed-specific needs
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions from pet owners

Ideal Candidate

  • Applicants must have 18 months grooming experience minimum and a level three dog grooming qualification.
  • Knowledge of different breeds, coat types, and grooming techniques
  • Strong understanding of animal behaviour and ability to handle dogs with care and compassion
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, such as large dogs or grooming equipment, as needed
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Doggy Day-care Bus Driver

Would you like to be a school bus driver? For dogs?! Are you an experienced, responsible, organised, safe and professional, animal loving person who wants to drive our VIP clients from their homes to daycare and back?

Using our state of the art doggy bus, we expect efficiency and compassionate and safe handling of our dogs, to make it a smooth journey to daycare. You will have a personal app with all our client information, get to meet some wonderful dogs and start your day with some good company! A strong knowledge of the local area is useful and comfortable and confident driving around the city. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick-Up and Drop-Off Services:
    Safely transport dogs between their homes and the daycare facility, following designated routes and schedules.
  • Vehicle Safety and Maintenance:
    Ensure that the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and safe for transporting dogs. Regularly check the condition of the van (tires, oil, brakes, etc.) and schedule routine maintenance as needed.
  • Dog Handling:
    Safely load and unload dogs from homes and the daycare centre. Use proper handling techniques to ensure the comfort and safety of the dogs during transportation.
  • Safety and Comfort:
    Monitor the dogs during transportation to ensure they are comfortable and secure in the vehicle. Follow all safety protocols to avoid injury to the dogs or damage to the vehicle.
  • Customer Service:
    Communicate courteously with pet owners during pick-up and drop-off, providing updates or answering any questions about the transportation process.
  • Record Keeping:
    Keep accurate logs of pick-up and drop-off times, locations, and any relevant information about each dog’s behaviour during transport.
  • Adherence to Schedules:
    Manage time effectively to ensure dogs are picked up and dropped off according to the daycare’s schedule. Flexibility in adjusting routes when needed.

Ideal Candidate

  • Is aged over 25 with a full clean UK driving licence
  • Experience of driving a van
  • Has knowledge, experience and confidence caring for and handling many dogs
  • Prides themselves on great customer service
  • Is well presented, well-spoken and has confident communication skills
  • Can demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness
  • Has a current DBS check or is willing to attain one
  • Attention to Detail:
    Strong focus on safety and the ability to observe dogs for signs of stress, discomfort, or health issues during transportation.
  • Time Management Skills:
    Punctual and organised, with the ability to maintain a schedule and adapt to changes in routes.
  • Good knowledge of driving in Norwich area
  • Has flexibility with working hours/ days
  • Physical Fitness:
    Ability to lift, carry, and control dogs safely. Some dogs may weigh 40kg or more.
  • Passion for Animals:
    A genuine love for dogs and a commitment to ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • First Aid Certification (Preferred):
    Knowledge of basic pet first aid or willingness to undergo training is a plus

Dog Home Boarder

Do you want to help make dogs feel at home, whilst their owners are away? Are you passionate about dogs and looking to spend some quality time with them? Tom and Toto are looking for passionate dog people, to foster and home board dogs in their own home. When owners have holidays, their dogs should too!

Key responsibilities –

  • Provide a high standard of care, including following dogs daily routines, ensuring their needs are met, keeping dogs safe and happy!
  • Providing a welcoming, safe, comfortable environment for the dogs
  • Communicate regularly with dog owners about their pets’ well-being.
  • Communicating with us at Tom and Toto regularly about any concerns
  • Dedicated to our clients and providing quality care

Job requirements –

  • An animal free household, no pets of your own and no children under 5 years of age
  • Are not away from home more than 3 hours at a time
  • Living in the Broadland Council Area
  • Experienced and knowledgeable about owning and caring for dogs
  • A safe, secure and comfortable home environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Non smoking home
