If your dog likes to socialise and play then our group walks are definitely for them! Our dog walkers walk 4 dogs per group walk once all dogs have been introduced and get on well together. We have group walks Monday to Friday at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm and all are a full hour once we reach our location.
Group dog walks help improve your dog’s on lead walking as well as recall off lead playing with other dogs. Their doggy manners will improve and we will reinforce your training commands and can help work on specific areas such as impulse control.
All our dogs join walks on set days (a minimum attendance of one set day per week). We find the dogs are more settled, their social skills and confidence improve, and they really thrive from the routine and close bond with their walkers. Our online booking system is quick and easy to use if you ever require additional/different days.

During your dog’s introductory walk they will meet a few of our other dogs to make sure they will enjoy themselves. After that we will set up your repeat booking an include your dog each week for all the fun!

We cover Norwich city centre and the surrounding areas including: Stoke Holy Cross, Poringland, Caistor St Edmund, Shotesham, Trowse, Cringleford, Eaton, Bowthorpe, Costessey, Thorpe St Andrews, Thorpe End, Thorpe Hamlet, Catton, Dussindale, Sprowston, Spixworth, Tuckswood and Lakenham.
This is free meeting where your new walker comes to visit you all at your home. Take the time to get to know them and grill them with all your tough questions! You will have been asked to register with us online before the meeting so we will know about your dog already so please show your walker your home routine and allow your dog some time to get to know their walker. We will bring a key safe to this meeting if you do not have one at your property.
For all dog walks, doggy day-care and ad hoc pet sitting visits:
- 0 – 48 hours prior to a dog walk or pet care visit: Payment in full is charged (no refunds)
- Over 48 hours prior to service or more: No charge, refund in full.
Your trust in us as well as your peace of mind are of greatest importance. While we hope to form strong relationships with all our clients, we also provide geographic evidence that your sitter or dog walker was at your home and spent the requested time with your pets. When one of the Tom and Toto team arrive at your property they will ‘check in’ and when they return your dog after their walk they ‘check out’. This leaves a GPS time and location stamp on your account and is sent to you each time we see your dog with their feedback to you.
Every day your dog joins us you will receive an email with feedback about their day of fun! Your update will include photos, GPS data confirming the time your dog was collected and dropped home and a written synopsis of the day from your walker. If your dog is with us for socialisation, training or they joined us as a puppy, you can easily look back over the feedback and see how far they have come as we save the updates on your account too. Our online booking system is secure, quick and easy to use either from your mobile device or a computer. When you join us we will direct you to where you can register yourself and your dog. Once up and running you can use it to:
- Book pet sitting, dog walks and day care
- View and amend your bookings
- Pay your account with credit or debit card
- Cancel services
- View amounts owing
- View and download past invoices and pet pictures from feedback reports
- View payments history
- Edit yours and your pet’s information
- Upload pet pictures
If your dog becomes unwell while in our care, we will seek out immediate veterinary care from your nominated vet. Please contact your vet to let them know that Tom and Toto care for your pets and you authorise treatment if necessary. This will save valuable time in an emergency and forgo the need for them to contact you before proceeding. We will, of course, get in touch with you and your emergency contact as well as soon as we have spoken to the vet to keep you up to date.
While we assign you a primary walker, we cannot guarantee the same person each time you book a walk. We are a close nit team and communicate often with each other, so all information is passed onto each team member caring for your dogs. We do like to get together for our group walks so more dogs can socialise. It also means an extra pair of human eyes to watch over the dogs and it gives your dog the chance to meet all the walkers. If your usual walker is on holiday your dog will have met the rest of the team and be greeted by a familiar face when they come to pick them up.
We update your information in your account as well. It may be that a walker is off due to illness, personal obligations or annual leave. Our promise is that we will always have a trained, qualified walker to cover your dog walking needs. Our walkers are qualified employees (not independent contractors) who are team members. They are insured, canine first aid trained and police checked. We hope you will enjoy getting to know us all!
Absolutely! Your first meet & greet is always free. Additional meet and greet visits are £14. If you need more time, we’re happy to schedule an extended 1 hour visit for £20. You can arrange a meet & greet in the online booking system or call the office to schedule.
We use key safes for all our dog’s homes rather than keeping a set of keys with us. We will bring you a key safe to your meet and greet if you do not have one, or you are welcome to purchase your own. You do not have to install a key safe by your front door. We would recommend installing it somewhere discreet, but somewhere accessible. You can choose your own personal code and we will keep your key safe code secure on our system. They have a number of benefits and mean that your keys will never leave your property. The advantage of having a key safe is that you don’t need to make several copies of your keys, they will make it easier for us to accept last minute request for pet care or offer assistance should there be an emergency.
We accept online card payments for all our services. We take your security very seriously and your details are safe with us. When you register with us and add your pet’s routine, please also add a credit/debit card to your account.
Dog walks and day care are invoiced monthly in arrears on the last working day of each month via email. Please check your invoice carefully. The system will automatically take payment from your nominated credit/debit card the next working day.
